This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for SkyBOX Inc. dba SkyBOX Checkout and www.skyboxcheckout.com (“SkyBOX Checkout” or “SkyBOX” or “we” or “us”) provides this Privacy Policy to explain how we collect, use, disclose, and otherwise process certain information that identifies you individually (“Personal Information”) via our: services, websites, mobile applications, social media applications, widgets, and other online sites (collectively, “Sites”).

Where is SkyBOX located?

SkyBOX is located in the United States with headquarters in Miami, FL and additional global processing hubs within the United States in New York City, NY and Los Angeles, California. If you register for an account, complete checkout on an affiliated merchant site as a guest, or otherwise use the Sites, your Personal Information will be transferred to the United States, a jurisdiction which may not be considered adequate by data protection authorities in your home country. If you prefer not to have your Personal Information transferred to the United States, do not use, register, or complete an online transaction on any of our Sites. Use of any of our Sites constitutes consent to transfer Personal Information to the United States and to otherwise process such data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

What personally identifiable information is collected from you through the web site, how is it used and with whom may it be shared?

You may visit some areas of our Sites without providing your Personal Information to us. We do collect Personal Information on other areas of our Sites when you:

  • Register for a SkyBOX Checkout account;
  • Checkout as a guest on an affiliated SkyBOX Checkout retailer website
  • Use SkyBOX parcel forwarding services;
  • Process your United States Postal Service Form 1583 (Application for Delivery of Mail Through Agent via SkyBOX);
  • Purchase merchandise from one of our merchants;
  • Participate in one of our promotions or surveys;
  • Request customer or technical support; and/or
  • Ask to have our customer service representative contact you.

We collect the following types of Personal Information through these activities:

  • Name, billing address, postal address, email address, telephone number, and other contact details;
  • Username and password;
  • Product purchase history and interests;
  • Driver’s license or non-driver’s government identification card;
  • Armed forces, government, university, or recognized corporate identification card;
  • Passport, alien registration card, or certification of naturalization;

If you can’t or choose not to provide us with the Personal Information we reasonably require to process your purchase, we may be unable to provide you with the information, goods, or services you have requested.   • Perform product development, administer our Sites, and otherwise perform other legitimate business activities.

Retailers and Other Third Parties.

We work closely with online retailers who use our Sites to provide their international shopping cart functionality and display of total landed cost throughout their website including on their home page, product pages and shopping cart. If you arrived at one of our Sites through a third party retailer or other SkyBOX Checkout client or affiliate (the “Retailer”), we serve as a third party logistics and payment processing service provider to that Retailer, and share the Personal Information we collect from you with the Retailer. You do not need to register with us to use the services we provide to Retailers. And we may retain your Personal Information to resolve disputes, comply with legally mandated reporting, disclosure, or other legal process requirements. The Retailers are located in the United States or other countries that may not be considered adequate by data protection authorities in your home country. Before proceeding with your transaction, read the Retailer’s Privacy Policy to understand how it may process or disclose your Personal Information. This policy does not apply to Retailer websites accessible through our Sites.

Third Party Service Providers.

We use other companies and individuals to perform certain functions on our behalf. Those functions include fulfilling orders, delivering packages, sending postal or electronic mail, analyzing or hosting data on cloud-based servers, processing payments, providing customs brokerage services, or customer service/call center support. We may disclose your Personal Information to these companies and individuals performing services on our behalf.

What security procedures are in place to protect the misuse of your information?

We maintain reasonable technical, administrative, and physical controls to protect Personal Information from unauthorized access, use, and disclosure. We are PCI Complaint and use the latest encryption technology to safeguard your personal information while processing your online orders. For example, the areas of our Sites that enable or require you to submit payment information online use encryption to protect such information. We also review our security procedures periodically to consider appropriate new technology and updated methods, although you should note that no security measures are ever perfect or impenetrable.

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline. Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. SkyBOX Checkout does not accept orders from minors. All international orders processed via SkyBOX Checkout need to be placed by an individual who is eighteen years or older.

Once you do so, your account will then be de-activated on a going forward basis, although certain personal data may still be retained to the extent necessary to complete any requested transactions or comply with applicable law.

How will you know if we amend this Privacy Policy?

We may amend this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make any material change in how we collect, use, disclose, or otherwise process Personal Information, we will prominently post notice that the Privacy Policy has changed on the home page of our primary Sites, and link to the updated version of the Privacy Policy. Any material changes to this Privacy Policy will be effective 10 days after our posting of the notice of the updated Privacy Policy. Where required to do so by law, we may seek your prior consent to any material changes we make to this Privacy Policy. SkyBOX Data Privacy Policy

SkyBOX Inc. dba SkyBOX Checkout hereinafter referred to as “SkyBOX”, acknowledges the importance of Data Protection, and takes the responsibility to protect the customer’s data, and limit its usages within the agreement under which the data has been shared with SkyBOX.
The data protection policy of SkyBOX enforces that the data once shared with SkyBOX is not used for any marketing purposes, and is not exposed to any external parties or business partners across the world unless prior consent of the customer is given.
Below are the details of what data is received and saved by SkyBOX for the purpose of fulfilling SkyBOX CHECKOUT’s courier services of pickup and/or delivery of the shipments.

What Information does SkyBOX Hold?

As a courier company, SkyBOX receives the customer’s information for the purpose of pickup or delivery of the customer’s shipments. SkyBOX collects the following information: Name, Address, Telephone number (Fixed Line), Mobile number, Email address, and signature at the time of delivery (optional)

Data Usage

SkyBOX only collects, processes and utilizes personal data to the extent, which it is necessary to establish, maintain and terminate a contractual relationship, which was established in order to supply pick-up and/or delivery services to the customer.
It is SkyBOX’s legitimate interest to process personal data in order to improve our service, to answer questions and to handle claims and complaints.

Data Protection

SkyBOX’s Data Protection Policy ensures that we take adequate technical measures to protect the customer’s personal data from exposure to any external entity, theft, or misuse. The data shared with SkyBOX is always saved in an internal operating environment which is not publically accessible. The data shared on the SkyBOX website and shopping cart form www.skyboxcheckout.com is encrypted by Secure Socket Layer (SSL).

Data Retention and Destruction

SkyBOX saves the personal information shared by the customer for a period of 10 years, after which the data is destroyed using proper data destruction tools.

Subject Access Request (SAR)

SkyBOX acknowledges the importance of the rights of a person to be forgotten, therefore we accept Subject Access Requests, in case you want to know what information SkyBOX holds about you, and/or you want that information to be amended or destroyed from the SkyBOX system.
To initiate a request to access, amend or erase your details in the SkyBOX system please fill out the form below, and send an email to the following email address compliance@SkyBOXcheckout.com along with a scanned copy of any of the following valid documents (driver’s license, birth certificate, passport, marriage certificate).

Important Notices

  • Subject Access Requests can only be initiated by the Subject (Person). Any Subject Access Requests received from a third party will not be entertained. SkyBOX will verify the request details (Email, Telephone, and Address) prior to processing the request.
  • The details will only be shared to the provided email address in a standard format, depending upon the type of request initiated by the Subject.
  • The processing time for the Subject Access Request may take a maximum of 40 days, although SkyBOX will try to utilize its resources to complete the request earlier.
  • The Details collected in the below form will only be used by SkyBOX for the purpose of GDPR Subject Access Request, and will not be shared with any external parties.
